About Lolomosquito ®

The adventure begins in early 2006.

The company was created, the LoloMosquito ® trademark registered, the first jewelry made ... all that was left was to write the rest of the story ...

The LoloMosquito story was colorful from the start:

A mixture of colors and materials sprinkled with surprises, silver metal punctuating the colors of polymer clay beads, fabric and glass.

Every piece of jewelry is traditionally hand-made by the designer, Laurence Sasso.

Since July 2008 the workshop is located in the heart of South Western France.

The Making Process

Each piece of jewelry requires several steps to finish, these require time, precision, attention to detail ...

Here's an inside view into one of those steps: the making of polymer clay beads.

polymer clay beads in progress

First, the future design of the polymer clay beads needs to be shaped (a kind of clay that hardens when cooked):

This involves blending, mixing colors, forming, rolling, filling, cutting, etc. ...

...to form the "canes"

The designs are applied to small balls, then each bead is patiently rolled by hand ... the beads are then placed on a tray and after cooking them for 30 min at 110 ° C ... we then get...

... A collection of unique and very personalized beads.

Then, depending on requirements, they may still need to be sanded, drilled, and varnished ...

The beads are finally ready to join the necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry!
